Donna has many years experience of managing high quality
childcare services, mostly in the voluntary sector. She has particular skills
here and understands the particular challenges in this area. As well as
providing childcare, she can provide a consultancy service. Please call to discuss.
Highlights
include:
- While managing a Community
Nursery for 6 years, Donna project managed the expansion of the nursery by
50%. This included
fundraising, supervision of contractors, and managing the registration process.
As part of this role as manager, she was also the voluntary sector
representative on the local Early Years Development and Childcare
Partnership and stood on a committee to develop neighbourhood nurseries in
the area.
- As part of her work at an Under
Eights Centre in Central London, she
managed 4 types of provision in 3 different building.
- From 2002-2005,she worked as the manager of Homeless Children’s
Project, establishing children’s services in community centres and
hotels.
- Consultancy to a nursery that
had received an unsatisfactory Ofsted report,
and working with staff and management to raise the standards.
